People are relational by nature. We all need to feel connected to and accepted by others.

Each person has inherent worth and the capacity to grow toward personal fulfillment. I provide a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental place for you to freely express yourself. Together we will identify your needs and goals. Using a client-centered and existential orientation, I offer counseling  to adults and adolescents.

When you become my client I become your advocate, fully committed to your growth and success. I will create a collaborative and respectful relationship with you as the basis for your growth and development. I'll help you see how you are successful, as well as identify what might interrupt your potential for success. I bring an authenticity and immediacy to my work that will enhance our ability to tackle difficult issues.

Some of my specialty areas include:

Depression / Anxiety  Two sides of the same coin, you don't have to stay stuck in anxiety or depression. You can find alternative, healthy reactions to life stressors.

Grief & Loss Grief is a natural and healthy response to loss; whether that loss is of a loved one, a relationship, a job, or ability. There is no correct way to grieve, and no ideal timeline, however; sometimes we need help completing the “tasks” of grieving in order to make sense of the loss and move forward.

Shame & Self-Compassion Dr. Brené Brown says shame is the intensely painful feeling that we are unworthy of love and belonging. Shame makes us feel as though our very lives are on the line and we react accordingly. Common ways to cope include panic, anger, and numbing, but these can lead to other problems. I work with clients to identify their shame triggers and learn to respond to shame with compassion.
